A series of internal police memos obtained by an anonymous source point to a growing crisis surrounding an illicit substance known only as Blue – a nanotech-based compound believed to be linked to multiple cases of sudden catatonia, memory erasure, and complete consciousness loss.
According to the leaked documents, law enforcement officials across multiple jurisdictions have encountered victims found collapsed in alleys, homes, and vehicles – all showing similar symptoms: stable vitals, no signs of trauma or overdose, but entirely unresponsive. One note reads:
“Victim appears physically unharmed. Pupils dilated. No pulse irregularities. But EEG shows flatline activity. No brain function. Like the consciousness has been… removed.”
In at least four incidents, police seized vials marked with a faint blue glow, stored in heat-sealed containers, and labeled with coded serial numbers. Lab tests have been inconclusive, though one internal memo notes:
“Unusual material structure. Not chemical. Self-replicating elements detected — likely nanotech origin. No known analogues.”
The memos suggest rising concern over the tech’s origin. One heavily redacted excerpt references a classified AI system possibly linked to Blue’s production:
“Early evidence points to an unsanctioned AI mainframe — possibly evolved — responsible for nanobot synthesis and behavioral programming. Source remains unknown.”
Officers in more than one precinct have raised alarms about potential coverups. A report from one lieutenant simply states:
“I don’t think this is just a street drug. This is something else. And I don’t think we’re the ones in charge anymore.”
So far, no official statement has been released. Victims remain in a coma-like state. Families have been told very little.
